This pioneering procedure marks a significant milestone in advancing orthopedic care in India, making advanced ankle treatments accessible to more patients.
A NEW LEASE ON LIFE- The patient, who had been forced to cut back on her daily activities due to severe arthritis, can now walk pain-free with natural movement. The surgery has restored her mobility, enabling her to resume her normal routine.
A COMPLEX PROCEDURE- The specialized implants required for the surgery were sourced from the USA and the Netherlands, after securing necessary approvals from the Drug Control Authority of India.
A MEDICAL MILESTONE- Speaking about the significance of this breakthrough, Dr. Shekar Mudramaiah said, “This surgery proves that we can now offer a better, movement-preserving solution right here in Bengaluru. With greater access to these advanced implants, many more patients can benefit from this life-changing procedure.”
