Tejasvi Surya,
First and foremost, You and the BJP Karnataka has no right to claim that your party is people-friendly or has stood by the people regarding price rises.

The BJP is the core reason for the price rise and inflation in the Country.
By the way, where was your conscience and why were you silent when the following illogical decisions were made by the state BJP government?
– Without any development, then Chief Minister’s BS Yediyurappa and Basavaraj Bommai left a ₹5900 crore debt in the Transport Department.
– Out of 13,888 vacant posts in the Transport Department (due to retirements and other reasons), not a single appointment was made during BJP rule.
– During BJP rule, Transport Department employees were not paid their full monthly salary. Instead, they were paid half salary or sometimes not paid until the end of the month or even the next month.
– BS Yediyurappa and Bommai are responsible for the state of running repair buses. Over the last 5 years, except for BMTC, no new buses were purchased for other corporations.
– Bus fares were increased by 12% in 2020 under BJP rule when diesel prices averaged ₹62.44 per litre.
– The transport department was brought to a pathetic condition under BJP rule, and now we have to lead the corporation by taking responsibility for paying all the dues of diesel, provident fund for staff, purchase materials, etc.
– The then BJP government, according to Government Order No. HTD/85/TRA/2000 issued on 30.09.2000, permitted KSRTC and other corporations to revise fares under an automatic fare adjustment policy in case of an increase in diesel prices and gratuity rates.
– On 15/11/2021, when Bommai was the Chief Minister, a single-member committee chaired by Mr. Srinivasamurthy IAS (Retd.) reported that bus fares should be revised periodically on the KERC model for the survival of transport institutions. The report was accepted by the BJP government at that time.
Now, the powerless BJP wants to do politics even after bankrupting the Transport Department during their tenure. It seems that BJP and you have a desire to close down government transportation and privatize it, which appears to be in your nature.
We are committed to saving the Transport Department and working in favor of the people of the state.
– Ramalingareddy, Minister for Transport
